When you book a maternity, newborn, milestone or cake smash with me, I don't just provide the gallery. A session with me comes with a piece of mine when you enter my Rio studio. You will find a warm and comforting space that is equipped with comfortable seating and a genuine smile.
When you book a session, we discuss wardrobe, the client closet and we work together to ensure that you session is not a stressful thing.
At Finch & Mae, I believe that communication is key. From the very first email to your gallery being delivered, I hold your hand every step of the way. I have worked to ensure that you maternity, newborn and cake smash guides are filled with useful information and tricks to help your session go smoothly.
My goal is to ensure that your experience is like no other. You aren't 'just getting a photographer, you are gaining a professional that is truly dedicated to making this as seamless and easy as possible.

Step 01
Newborn sessions are not scheduled until your baby arrives, however when booking, your due date will go on my calendar. All other sessions are scheduled when booking.
Newborn and Baby Milestone sessions are held Monday-Friday in my Rio, WI studio.

Once your session is scheduled, we will start the planning process. This can include wardrobe, colors for your newborn session and discussing your baby's cake.
Let's plan
Step 03
Newborn sessions are entirely baby-led. This allows for your baby to eat and snuggle as needed. We do the family portion of your newborn session first to allow big sibling to head out when they are finished. This allows the studio to be peaceful for your newborn.

Essence Maternity: 30 minute studio session, mom only, one outfit and 5 digital images
relic newborn: up to 90 minute studio session, baby + parents and siblings included, and 15 digital images
essence 6 month Milestone: 20 minute studio session, baby only, one outfit and 5 digital images
essence one year + Cake Smash: up top 45 minute studio session, baby ony, birthday portraits followed by cake smash, and 10 digital images
save $200 compared to booking separately
first year keepsake | $1400 + Tax
relic maternity: 45 minute studio session, partner and children included, up to two outfits, and 10 digital images
keepsake newborn: up to two hour studio session, baby, parents and siblings included, 25 digital images and one 8x10 print
relic six month milestone session: 3o minute studio session, baby only, up to two outfits, and 10 digital images
keepsake one year + cake smash: up to 60 minute studio session, parent portraits included, birthday portraits followed by cake smash and 20 digital images

the details
all sessions take place monday-friday in the rio, wi studio. each session includes a private proofing gallery, your choice of professionally edited digital images and a print release.
monthly payment options are available. payments must remain current, and the plan must be paid in full 30 days before your final session.
cake is purchased separately through Finch & mae's baker or you may bring your own approved cake with white or nude colored frosting only. red, hot pink, black and blue frosting are prohibited due to staining. please submit a cake photo for approval prior to your session.

As a wisconsin newborn photographer, I have over 6 years of experience.
My private commercial studio in rio is filled wtih backdrops, props, wraps, bonnets, headbands, wardrobe for moms and babies newborn-one. I even have a small section for dads and bigger kids.
i have the ability to grow with your family through these meaningful milestones such as cake smash, newborn portraits, maternity, school portraits and more.
i provide guides for maternity, newborn and one year cake smashes
Every single one of my sessions is baby led. This allows for feeding, cuddles, changes and more. We don't rush baby or their family.
Newborn Sessions are at 10am Monday-Friday.
Milestone and Cake Smash Sessions are between 9 and 3pm, Monday - Friday.
Maternity Sessions are scheduled together.
Sessions are held at my Rio, WI Studio | 204 Lincoln Ave. Rio, WI
What if my baby needs to feed during the session?
When booking your due date will go on my calendar. This essentially gives you a 4 week window for you to have their baby. I totally understand that babies come on their own time, so we adjust accordingly and set the date when baby arrives.
What happens if my baby arrives earlier/later?
When and where are the sessions held?
I recommend photographing your baby between 5 and 21 days. Many do book their newborn sesssion at the end of their second trimester or early into their third trimester to be sure that they get a spot on my calendar.
When is the best time to photograph my newborn?
