Family sessions are held within the last two hours of golden hour to ensure the most beautiful lighting. What does this mean for families that have early bedtimes? Well, some families choose to have an extra nap on the day of the session, others roll with the chaos or you can decide the time of the year to have your family's session done. In the summer months, it gets darker much later than most bedtimes so you may choose to have your session in the fall to accommodate bedtimes.
I love being able to take the stress off of mamas for needing to plan wardrobe for their sessions. This is one of the biggest reasons on why I offer a client wardrobe that is filled with a variety of sizes. When booking your session, please don't hesitate to let me know if you would like some assistance. I also offer a wardrobe styling guide that gives some critical information to help you plan your wardrobe for the big day. As a mom myself, I know how hard it can be to get everyone to look kosher while still feeling themselves.
As for kiddos that don't smile- that is okay. I honestly run my family sessions in a chaotic manner. Kids want to play? Let's do it. Funny faces? Of course. At the end of your session, I want your family to feel relaxed. Don't stress over your children not cooperating because when they think that they are not, they usually are. By having candid sessions and less forced, the session flows smoothly.
